We have produced recordings for over ten major classical record labels.   Editorial Services Carson has served as musical editor for a wide variety of projects. He has edited countless organ works (and works involving organ) for composers from around the world and for publishers ranging from Oxford University Press to Boosey & Hawkes. He has also edited other kinds of instrumental, orchestral, choral, and vocal music. He is the ongoing chief editor for Zimbel Press, a publisher specializing in contemporary classical music. He also served as co-editor for the Conners Publications Hymn Preludes for Organ Series. He has served as style editor for The New Harvard University Hymn Book and a great deal of experience with the demands of church music. Carson is highly regarded for his editorial ability and judgment across a diversity of musical areas and is available for freelance projects or more ongoing engagements.   Repertoire Consultantation for 20th/21st Century Music Carson is widely acclaimed for his encyclopedic knowledge of contemporary music (music of the 20th and 21st centuries) and composers working today. If you are seeking an existing piece for your season or program to meet a certain specification, OR if you are interested in finding a composer somewhere to commission who might suit your needs, Carson can help. Carson has contact with hundreds of contemporary composers worldwide and knowledge about hundreds more and their works. He can provide information on composers working in many musical areas and assist with both recommendations or commission contacts. With a personal library of over 5,000 scores by 20th/21st century composers, ranging from operas to solo instrumental pieces, Carson has the resources and knowledge to assist you. Whether you are an orchestra, chamber ensemble, choir, or soloist, Carson can help with recommendations about contemporary repertoire that will fit your desires and needs.   Writer As a writer and reviewer on musical subjects, Carson has had articles and reviews published in a number of international journals -- ranging from Music & Vision to The American Organist to American Recorder. For articles, reviews, program notes, essays, or larger book projects, Carson is available for engagement primarily on subjects related to 20th/21st century music. He has particular experience with contemporary American and Australian composers. He is one of the leading American specialists in Australian contemporary music. Carson is an experienced program notes writer for music of all periods. He has written program notes for orchestras and ensembles as well as for record labels, including Centaur and Naxos.
